Visit Red Rocks in the period from 1906 to 1927, when it was known as the Garden of the Titans, a mythological wonderland of strange rock formations with names borrowed from ancient Greek legends. John Brisben Walker was the mastermind of the Titanic designs of those years, and was perhaps the most ambitious of all the owners who worked to make the “Park of the Red Rocks” one of the top attractions in Colorado. Although Walker did not live to see it, under Denver’s ownership (since 1928), that goal has now been achieved, as has the construction of the massive amphitheater for which he long dreamed.
